Our Honeymoon - Loch Lomond

So things have been quiet the last few weeks! We got married on August 24th in a beautiful ceremony on a gorgeous summer day. I don't think the day could have been any more perfect and we felt so loved surrounded by our family and friends! I hope to have some photos from our fantastic photographer very soon to share. In the meantime, I do have tons of photos from our incredible honeymoon so I'll jump right into it, and it should take the rest of the week to share.

As I mentioned the other week, we picked Scotland as our honeymoon destination and we are both thrilled that we did! Our travel agent was brilliant at picking our hotels, and the resort in Loch Lomond was even more dreamy than we imagined. We stayed at Cameron House for three nights and four days and we soaked up every single second. The building and location were gorgeous, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was beyond delicious and the decor was inspiring...

Arriving here after an overnight flight was just pure luxury!

The first room we were in, for a whole minute or two. B requested a change of room since the view of the Loch from this space was blocked by a big huge tree

The stunning Great Scots Bar at Cameron House. We enjoyed many a drink here, with those big huge windows overlooking the Loch.

We spent an afternoon at their luxurious spa, each enjoying a massage before taking in the spa amenities including the heated roof top pool that overlooked part of the golf course. Relaxing in the sauna and steam room were just what we needed after all of craziness these past few months between buying a new house, moving, Halle's second birthday and all of the wedding madness.

The resort offered so many great amenities and activities and we couldn't leave without taking part in their hour and a half Hawk Walk. The Falconer Graeme was great and we enjoyed our time with the Harris Hawk Oran.

It was great that this resort was located in such a small town. B and I took some time to stroll the streets and the local park, as well as dine in a few of the establishments. To top it off, we took a cruise on the Loch with a company that is owned by a local family and has been operating boats in the area since 1880's, called Sweeney's Cruises

We seriously had so much fun, and we are already talking about how we can't wait to return to Balloch and the Cameron House Resort one day. Possibly an anniversary trip one year.

Make sure to pop on by tomorrow for some photos from Glasgow!
